Fire doors,
properly installed.
Fire door installations delivered to the required specification, with attention to the complete doorset, surrounding construction and supporting evidence.
ember manages the process from assessment and specification through to installation, quality control and handover.
WHAT IT IS
More than fitting a door.
A fire door is a complete fire-resisting system. The door leaf, frame, glazing, ironmongery, seals, gaps, fixings and interfaces with the surrounding construction all contribute to its performance.
Correct installation therefore depends on understanding the required fire performance and ensuring that every component and detail is compatible with the specified doorset.
Ember takes a specification-led approach to fire door installation, helping ensure the finished doorset is appropriate for its location, correctly installed and supported by clear evidence.
Assess & specify
Review the location, required performance, existing construction and fire strategy information to establish the appropriate doorset and installation requirements.
Coordinate
Confirm dimensions, components, interfaces, ironmongery and surrounding construction before installation begins.
Install & inspect
Install fire doors in accordance with the specified system, with quality checks covering the doorset, gaps, seals, fixings and associated components.
Evidence & handover
Record completed installations and relevant supporting information to provide a clear evidence trail for inspection, handover and the golden thread.
A fire door is only as good as its installation.
Even a correctly specified fire door can be compromised by poor installation, incompatible components, incorrect gaps or inadequate interfaces with the surrounding construction.
Getting those details right is essential to maintaining the intended fire and smoke performance and providing a completed installation that can stand up to scrutiny.
Ember provides a controlled route from specification to completed doorset, with installation quality and evidence considered throughout.
